Rehab Fitness: Breaking the chains of addiction through fitness.

Rehab fitness is a community of people from all walks of life coming together through fitness to break the chains of addiction in their life. We replace unhealthy habits by creating new healthy ones that facilitate in the renewal and healing of the mind, body and spirit. This is done through fitness classes, nutrition, outdoor community experiences, racing and studying literature that correlates together.

Fitness and Nutrition- studies show that physical activity can actually help return dopamine levels to pre-abuse heights. Also, by establishing new healthy exercise routines it will help replace the old ones by eliminating idle time that can lead to old addictive behaviors. In our fitness classes we will also focus on nutrition as what we feed our bodies provides the energy needed for our workouts as it is as equally important in the recovery process. Abuse substances can leave the body malnourished and or depleted of much needed nutrients that can only be gained through a healthy well rounded diet.

Outdoor Experiences- we will take part in outdoor experiences such as but not limited to climbing, running, camping etc. that will help to provide opportunities for growth and will help assist in fundamental needed change. Being outdoors can help create a deeper spiritual awareness and build trust with ones community through teamwork activities as well as improves your mood warding off depression.

Race 2 Rehab- we will participate in local 5ks as well as other distances throughout the year that will help better prepare us for Go Ruck obstacle course race. Having this race as a long term goal will help in our road to recovery by providing a goal to focus on and motivation to stay consistent with the program. Racing will also build confidence and our trust in others as we overcome obstacles throughout the training process and on race day together.

Feeding the spirit and mind with Literature- Each month we will read an inspiring book together that will encourage and motivate us through the challenges we will face on this journey to recovery. It will help us to open our minds and hearts to replacing negative thought patterns with positive ones. The words from the pages will plant seeds in our spirits that will grow and provide us with strength and encouragement we will need along the way. “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself ‘I have lived through this horror, I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” -Eleanor Rosevelt

Our Hope ,Our Heart, Our Mission

Our hope is that through Rehab Fitness we can cultivate a community that comes along side each other not only to help those in need to find freedom from their addictions through fitness but that a complete transformation of the mind, body and spirit would take place. That each individual involved in the program eventually will transcend it and adapt what they have learned into a lifestyle. A lifestyle that is not just about oneself but embraces the path that has led them here and uses those experiences to passionately and whole heartedly reach out and change the lives of others.
